it has been suggested by Bredius that this is the life-size Christ blessing the Children, whose author is not named, which was with an Ecce Homo in an inventory of pictures belonging to Maria van Rommerswael, widow of Godschalck van der Hu1st, in Dordrecht, 1674
apparently in the collection of Graf von Schönborn in Vienna by 1746
bought from the Schönborn-Buchheim collection in Vienna by Barthold Suermondt of Aachen, March 1866
