Hendrick Andriessen (1607 - 1655)

Flemish still-life painter

Hendrick Andriessen was born in Antwerp. He joined the Guild of St. Luke as an apprentice in Antwerp in 1637. He was known as Mancken Heyn, or crippled Hein He died in the province of Zeeland. Almost nothing is known about his life, he painted mainly vanitas still-life paintings.
