Knoedler

New York City based art dealer founded in 1846 by Goupil & Cie from Paris and taken over by Michael Knoedler in 1857. Together with Colnaghi, Knoedler was involved in the secret sales by the Soviet government of works from Hermitage in the 1920s and 1930s.
