By family repute, formerly in the collection of the historian George Kaftal who wrote four volumes on Italian Saint Iconography in painting including 'The Iconography of the Saints in Tuscan Painting' in 1952. His last volume 'The Iconography of the Saints in the Paintings of North West Italy' was published in 1985 two years before his death at the age of 90
